New V6...won't connect

I am new to my V6 and also struggled with this issue. So I followed the directions and connected to the ROV after I made the connection to the WiFi
Disregard the above .
I just tried to duplicate the connection issue and the final result is it connected the iPad with the RC's WiFi and the ROV no matter if I plugged in the ROV after the RC made connection or had them all plugged together before I made the WiFi connection.
Having said that my first connection attempted today also failed . Going back to the network connection and turning the RC off and starting over made it work.

I just got the V6 as well and have the same issue.. its hard to get the connection to start... also kept having connection disconnects of the video .. Can the controller and the remote be hardware connect.. or has to be wifi only ?

The screen shot above is from the fifish app on my iPad under the "HELP" menu while connected to the RC, it askes for the iPad to be connected to the internet. It now requires the iPad to be disconnect from the RC WIFI and connect to the internet WIFI this will provide the content of "VERSION FUNCTION" (the version of Firmware ) and also "FIRMWARE UPDATE" if a new version is available and more.
Next step is to reconnect to the RC's WIFI to operate the RC.
I don't know of a way to keep both connections to the internet and the RC at the same time???

By the way I don't have a issue with my WIFI connection anymore. It just takes a little while for the remote control WIFI to show in the phone's network .
This also may be of help to determine if the tether cable is functioning correctly by doing a continuity test on the cable.

Just received an update to my order "lightning to Ethernet adapter " I was informed that they didn't add the shipping cost $59.- to the $29.- order. I probably will cancel the order since my WIFI connection works and the shipping form China will probably take a long time.
I also think with the pinout ZHENYA88 posted we could make our own from standard parts.
