PlutoGabbia is a MultiPluto equipped with a docking frame to join the PlutoPalla (or another MultiPalla) and an additional coil of cable so that the communication coming from the surface along the main 3.5mm fiber optic cable once once it reaches the MultiPluto, it is also transmitted to the PlutoPalla via the secondary cable.

Today, many vehicles for deep-sea operations are equipped with a TMS (Tether Management System) which sometimes takes the form of a heavily ballasted "cage" capable of keeping the cable stretched vertically under the support vessel. PlutoGabbia is a system that takes up this concept trying to improve it.

In fact, Pluto Gabbia is not only a TMS and a "docking station" for PlutoPalla, but also offers the functionality of a complete ROV. It means that both vehicles are firmly connected to each other to form a single body which is deployed from the ship by means of a single cable as occurs when a single ROV is launched; but, once the operating level has been reached, PlutoPalla can release and proceed connected to the PlutoGabbia (ie the MultiPluto in static operating mode) via the "tether" cable.

On board the ship there are therefore two control consoles, one for each vehicle, manned by two pilots. A single automatic winch manages the single umbilical cable that connects the ship to the Cage, then extending to Palla for complete independent control of both vehicles.

This new diving equipment allows for incredible operational flexibility!
